JH Fire/EMS is seeking adaptable, team-players with a passion for customer service. The department is a full service, combination emergency response organization, managing the fire protection and emergency medical service system. Duties require strenuous physical exertion under extreme conditions the ability to exercise exceptional judgment, sometimes in a split-second decision-making situation. Shift assignments are on a rotating 48/96 schedule.
Minimum qualifications:
- Firefighter/EMT (Basic): Firefighter I and EMT-B certification. Recent Fire Department experience preferred. To be hired into full-time position, must obtain EMT-I and Firefighter II within 12 months of hire date.
- Firefighter/EMT (Intermediate): Firefighter II and EMT-Intermediate certification. One year of Fire Dept. experience, preferably with JHF/EMS.
- Firefighter/Paramedic: Firefighter II and Paramedic license, plus 3 years Fire Department experience.
