MVIMG_20190111_142247

New Construction taking place at the Teton County/Jackson Recreation Center

Users will need to be aware of the new entrance that has directional signage to indicate its location, a temporary partition wall has been set up in the lobby area, as well as a temporary front desk area. Recreation Center services, programs, classes, and activities we continue as normal.

Administrative staff have moved into temporary offices in a modular unit next door at Davey Jackson Elementary School.  Please look for the unit with the Parks and Recreation banner on it.

The Recreation Center project includes renovation and expansion of administrative offices, front desk, vestibule, lobby area, locker rooms, repair work to the aquatic slide and exterior repair and improvements.

Construction that will affect programming isn’t scheduled to begin until mid-March, around spring break.  During this time the lobby, locker rooms, waterslide and exterior repairs will be worked on, which is scheduled for approximately four to five weeks.

The project’s budget is $2.2 million, which includes funding from the 2017 SPET (specific purpose excise tax) vote and leftover money from a 2010 SPET. On May 1, the Teton County Board of County Commissioners awarded the project to Aufderheide Construction Management.
