PARKS & RECREATION MAINTENANCE SHOP AND HOUSING…

Teton County/Jackson Parks & Recreation broke ground in August on a new maintenance facility and employee housing.  The project is anticipated to be complete in late 2019.  The facility will include: basement for storage and locker room/restrooms for staff; 1st floor equipment storage, carpentry area and office space for staff; 2nd and 3rd floors will provide a mix of dorm style housing units and 1-bedroom units for Town/County staff.  The housing portion of the project was funded by the 2017 SPET.  The project has been nearly 10 years in the making and the new space will improve efficiencies for Parks staff and allow for protection for all Park related equipment, which currently resides outside in the elements.  Construction is anticipated to continue into the winter.  Depending on weather conditions, construction may cease for a period during the winter before resuming in the spring.  Stayed tuned for further updates!!
