Teton County ISWR’s Composting Kick Off Event This Saturday!
Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling (ISWR), in partnership with Teton Conservation District, is excited to invite you to our “Composting Kick Off” event!
What: Teton County ISWR’s Composting Kick Off Event
When: This Saturday, June 3rd; 9AM-1PM
Where: Alpine Fields, 100 Middle School Road, Jackson, WY
About the Event: The event is free and open to the public
For many residents in Teton County, backyard food waste composting is not feasible and conflicts with the Wildlife Feeding Land Development Regulations. To increase residential food waste composting and make food waste composting more convenient, Teton County Integrated Solid Waste and Recycling began accepting residential food waste at the Recycling Center for $2 per container (5-gallon bucket).
Come visit the Teton County ISWR tent at the Jackson Hole Youth Soccer Tournament to discuss why food waste composting is so important for your household, community, and environment and learn how you can participate. Free 5-gallon bucket “tool-kits” are available on a first-come-first-served basis!
