Be Kind for Teton Kind
Together We Can Shred the Spread of COVID-19
[Jackson, WY, December 15, 2020] - The Teton County Health Department (TCHD) is launching the second part of the Shred the Spread campaign, encouraging Teton County to Be Kind for Teton Kind as we continue to fight COVID-19.
The Shred the Spread campaign, launched on December 1st, is dedicated to supporting the community through the pandemic. A vital aspect of that is working together and showing one another kindness by following the health orders and guidelines. Phase two of the campaign is focused on community involvement and collective action to stop the spread of COVID-19. Messages will focus on what the community can do as a whole and how following COVID-19 prevention measures is not only the right thing to do, but also the kind thing to do. Be Kind for Teton Kind will maintain the positivity of the Shred the Spread campaign while also highlighting the people we are kind for: our families, friends, neighbors, customers, etc. Accompanying key messages from the first part of the campaign (Wash Up. Mask On. Space Out. Stay Home When Sick), Be Kind for Teton Kind addresses how it will take all of us doing our part to return to normal life: “Teton Kind is one community, with one goal: preventing the spread of COVID-19. Together we can Shred the Spread of COVID-19.”
Teton County Health Department Director, Jodie Pond, MPH, stated, “If we all work together and treat each other with kindness, we will win the battle against COVID-19. It’s as simple as asking yourself, how will I be kind today? Wear my mask around others outside my home, wash my hands, give my neighbor extra space, and stay home when I’m feeling sick to prevent transmission.”
There are numerous ways for the community to show their support for both phases of the campaign; from sharing TCHD social media posts and videos, to wearing the Shred the Spread face masks, displaying the custom-designed stickers, and most importantly, following the health orders and guidelines. In addition, the community can download marketing materials such as posters and social graphics at shredthespreadjh.com. The community can also stay up to date by subscribing to our weekly e-newsletter and by following the campaign on our social platforms (Facebook and Instagram). Follow us on our social media platforms for locations where free masks and stickers will be available.
We encourage you to show your support of this campaign, and most importantly, support the Teton community and our efforts to Shred the Spread of COVID-19.
