Instructions on using the SmartGov Portal
How to set up a submission date:
Due to the high volume of calls, we are now requiring people to fill out a Submission Request Form to set up a week to submit for Building Permits and Miscellaneous (Under 500 Sq. Ft.)

Starting January 1, 2023 we are are accepting permit applications through our new online portal. Building Permits and Miscellaneous (Under 500 Sq. Ft.) are still required to have a submission date scheduled through our Permit Technician.

For floodplain, wildland urban interface and ground snow load you can search the specific address on the GIS map and use the layers to get exact information.

Process & review times are dependent upon the project.
- Who is responsible for scheduling inspections?

It is the duty of the permit holder or their agent to notify the Building Department that work is ready to be inspected. For Teton County, call 307-732-5745 or go online to schedule and inspection. Inspections must occur at least every 180 days in order to keep the permit active.
